Glorifying the imperfect quality of discarded objects. I am creating an object that is first meant to be viewed as a mistake or an action of disruption, and then to glorify this view with a sense of stability i.e. making something crumbled back into a solid object. I have been experimenting with painting from source material - the angular dimensions of distorted paper. My objective for this way of working was to create a design which might yield a dimension of solidness unusual in painting. Shape formations, created by crumpled linen become the foundations of my artworks, both in terms of support and compositional structure.
